ACL Surgery in Dhanori

ACL Surgery in Dhanori

One of the most usually injured ligaments in the knee is the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). People who participate in high-risk activities like basketball; football, skiing, and soccer are more likely to sustain ACL damage.
ACL injuries are frequently associated with injury to the meniscus, articular cartilage, or other ligaments. Patients may also experience bone bruising beneath the cartilage surface. These can be noticed on a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan and could suggest articular cartilage damage.
Dr. Ashwin Deshmukh is the  Arthroscopic Surgeon in Dhanori and he provides the ACL surgery in Dhanori.

Cause

The majority of ACL injuries are thought to be caused by non-contact processes, with only a tiny percentage caused by direct impact with another player or object.
Deceleration combined with cutting, turning, or sidestepping techniques, awkward landings, or “out of control” plays are frequently linked to the injury. In some sports, female athletes have a higher incidence of ACL injury than male players, according to several studies.According to some ideas, this could be due to differences in physical conditioning, muscle strength, and neuromuscular control. Other theories for the gender gap in ACL injury rates include pelvic and lower extremity (leg) alignment, higher ligamentous laxity, and estrogen’s influence on ligament properties.

Dr Deshmukh will commonly perform the test to see if the ACL is intact, in addition to completing particular tests for diagnosing meniscus tears and injury to other ligaments of the knee.
When the ACL is torn, the examiner will notice increased forward (upward or anterior) movement of the tibia in relation to the femur (particularly when compared to the normal leg) and a soft, mushy terminus (because to the torn ACL).
