Platelet-Rich Plasma(PRP)
What is platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and what are PRP injections?
Concentrated blood plasma called platelet rich plasma (PRP) has three to five times as many platelets as regular circulating blood. Additionally, it contains additional bioactive proteins that aid in skin renewal, such as platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor (TGF), and others.
Lines, folds, and wrinkles can be removed with PRP, a facial rejuvenation procedure that uses your own plasma to stimulate collagen formation and cell migration. The effects of PRP therapy are mild and natural-looking, and they can continue for up to two years. Additionally, PRP is barely irritating, has no danger of an allergic reaction, and can be applied to almost any part of the body without any negative side effects.
Platelets are the body cells that help the tissue heal and create new cells. PRP is injected into specific areas of the skin, creating an environment that promotes the growth of collagen, regenerates tissues, and leaves your skin feeling tight and smooth. PRP improves skin tone and texture, making it smoother, younger, and less wrinkled.
One to several tubes of your own blood are used to prepare PRP injections, which is done by centrifuging the blood to concentrate the platelets. The damaged or ill body tissue is then given an injection of these activated platelets. This causes the release of growth factors, which promote and boost your body’s production of reparative cells.
